SECTION 6 – E-BIKE SAFETY AND RIDER RESPONSIBILITY
Electric bicycles involve inherent risks, including serious injury, disability, property damage, and death.
By purchasing or operating a West Coast Cruizers bicycle, you acknowledge and agree that:
• You voluntarily assume all risks associated with ownership and operation.
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• You are responsible for determining whether operation is legal in your jurisdiction.
• You will inspect and maintain the bicycle regularly.
• You will use appropriate safety equipment including a helmet.
West Coast Cruizers shall not be liable for injuries, damages, or losses arising from misuse, negligence, improper maintenance, unauthorized modifications, reckless operation, or failure to follow safety instructions.
SECTION 7 – ASSUMPTION OF RISK, ASSEMBLY RESPONSIBILITY, AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
The purchaser and rider acknowledge that electric bicycle riding is an inherently dangerous activity that carries risks including, but not limited to, serious bodily injury, paralysis, property damage, and death.
By purchasing, assembling, maintaining, or operating a West Coast Cruizers bicycle, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with ownership and use of the product.
West Coast Cruizers strongly recommends that all bicycles be assembled, inspected, adjusted, and safety-checked by a qualified bicycle mechanic, professional technician, or reputable bicycle shop prior to use.
If a qualified technician or bicycle shop is not reasonably available, the purchaser assumes full responsibility for ensuring proper assembly, adjustment, inspection, maintenance, and safe operation of the bicycle by carefully following all instructions contained in the Owner's Manual and any supplemental assembly or safety materials provided by West Coast Cruizers.
The purchaser and rider are solely responsible for:
• Proper assembly and adjustment of the bicycle.
• Performing pre-ride inspections.
• Ensuring all fasteners, brakes, steering components, wheels, tires, electrical systems, and drivetrain components are properly installed and functioning.
• Following all maintenance schedules and safety recommendations.
• Operating the bicycle in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Failure to properly assemble, inspect, maintain, or operate the bicycle may result in serious injury, property damage, or death.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, West Coast Cruizers, IDJLA, LLC, its owners, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, suppliers, and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, death, property damage, loss, claim, or expense arising from:
• Improper assembly.
• Improper maintenance.
• Failure to follow the Owner's Manual.
• Unauthorized modifications.
• Improper repairs.
• Rider negligence.
• Failure to conduct pre-ride safety inspections.
By assembling, operating, or riding a West Coast Cruizers bicycle, you expressly release and discharge West Coast Cruizers and IDJLA, LLC from any liability arising from such risks to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law.
SECTION 8 – BATTERY SAFETY
Lithium-ion batteries require proper handling and care.
Customers agree to:
• Use only approved chargers.
• Charge batteries in a safe, dry, ventilated area.
• Avoid exposure to excessive heat, freezing temperatures, or moisture.
• Discontinue use if the battery becomes damaged, swollen, leaking, or overheated.
Improper use may result in fire, injury, property damage, or death.
SECTION 9 – BATTERY WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The battery warranty shall be void if damage results from:
• Water intrusion, flooding, submersion, or pressure washing.
• Use of unapproved chargers.
• Improper charging practices.
• Physical abuse, impact, accidents, or collisions.
• Unauthorized repair, modification, or disassembly.
• Improper storage.
• Fire, theft, vandalism, or natural disasters.
• Commercial, fleet, delivery, or rental use.
• Normal battery degradation and capacity loss.
Battery performance naturally declines over time and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
SECTION 10 – WATER DAMAGE EXCLUSION
West Coast Cruizers electric bicycles contain water-resistant but not waterproof electrical components.
Warranty coverage does not extend to damage caused by:
• Riding through deep water.
• Flooding.
• Pressure washing.
• Improper cleaning methods.
• Water intrusion into batteries, motors, controllers, displays, wiring, or charging ports.
Customers are responsible for protecting their bicycles from excessive water exposure.
SECTION 11 – WARRANTY
Warranty coverage includes:

• 1 Year
Battery
• 2 Years
Electrical Components
• 1 Year
Including:
• Motor Hub
• LCD Display
• PAS Controller
• Charger
• Thumb Throttle
Mechanical Components
• 6 Months
Including:
• Fender
• Crank
• Pedals
• Disc Brakes
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
• Misuse
• Abuse
• Accidental damage
• Water damage
• Unauthorized repairs or modifications
• Commercial use
• Theft
• Vandalism
• Normal wear-and-tear items including tires, tubes, chains, brake pads, grips, and similar consumables.
Labor
Warranty coverage includes replacement parts only.
Labor is not covered except for approved motor hub warranty replacements.
Labor reimbursement may be approved with proper documentation including photos, videos, and service invoices.
Claim Requirements
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

At West Coast Cruizers, we are a premium e-bike company partnered with an overseas manufacturer with over 30 years of experience. We will assist you with all warranty issues within the covered timeframe. Beyond the warranty period, we remain committed to helping you maintain and service your e-bike to the best of our ability.
SECTION 12 – BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing information.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders suspected of fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity.
SECTION 13 – OPTIONAL TOOLS
We may provide access to third-party tools and services.
Such tools are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
Your use of third-party tools is entirely at your own risk.
SECTION 14 – THIRD-PARTY LINKS

West Coast Cruizers is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party website.
